The COVIMA FUNIBELT POWER started its journey in 2015 when the company began to develop together with the well-known brand GATES, a series of belts transmission, especially for ski resorts and for all types of cable transport systems.

Capable of withstanding extreme temperature ranges and a great capacity of resistance to the weather, the product now take off.

“Covima Funibelt power ist new belt brand for ski resorts”, CEO Ramon Cos emphasises. This type of belt is made from an epdm rubber compound that adapts perfectly to very low temperatures (-50ºc/+130ºc) while ensuring the high grip on pulleys required by detachable chairlifts, funitels and gondolas.

The first tests with Covima funibelt power belts were made in several countries.  In Andorra for example in the ski resort Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís, among others at the cable car “Encamp, Funicamp”, a Doppelmayr Funitel with 7 km length.

In France, the ski resorts Tignes, Les 7 Laux, Val Cenis, Le Grand Bornard and La Plagne relied on Covima funibelt power belts.

The spanish cable car company Baqueira/Beret and the italien ski resort Folgardia Marileva also tested the product successfully.
