Prinoth: The olympics are calling again
World-class athletes will once again compete for the top spots at the Olympic Games in 2022. PRINOTH, the piste vehicle manufacturer from South Tyrol, has already clinched its victory and demonstrated again that it belongs at the front of the field as a partner for the world’s most important winter sports event.
At the Olympic Games in Lillehammer (1994), Nagano (1998), Turin (2006) and Sochi (2014), the pistes also came from the experts from South Tyrol.
With so many successes, PRINOTH has long since earned its stripes in the industry and it is therefore also no surprise that the experienced preparation experts from South Tyrol are being called on once again in Beijing.
Snow How
For optimum piste conditions, the tried and tested SNOW HOW fleet management and the Leica snow depth measuring system will also be introduced in the coming years. The digital solutions have been designed in close cooperation with customers and with a focus on the essentials; on the slope, the only data provided are those that are really needed for the work.
The absence of unnecessary additional information and software programmes means that, in addition to clear presentation, the computing power remains as unrestricted as possible and data can be loaded quickly.
This userfriendly software helps significantly to improve efficiency, improve efficiency, cut costs and reduce fuel consumption and it will help the organisers to make the 2022 Winter Games a green event.
Let’s go green
The organisers of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing have ambitious objectives: the major event will become a green event, at which sustainability in all
areas is the top priority. PRINOTH’s resource-saving technologies will also make an important contribution to this.
Under the cooperation already established, the snow groomers used will ensure exceptionally efficient preparation of the Olympic ski slopes, thanks to SNOW HOW, which will help with achieving the ambitious environmental conservation goals.
The full range of PRINOTH vehicles will be used, including the BISON X, LEITWOLF X and HUSKY X. Equitpped with Leica snow depth measuring and PRINOTH fleet management.
The central challenge is to prepare the slopes in the way that make the most efficient possible use of resources and time, with the use of modern technology to keep “idle journeys” to the minimum possible number of kilometres. This will mean a significant saving on water, electricity and fuel, which is exactly where the strengths of SNOW HOW come into play.
PRINOTH is already looking forward to the next major event in its home country, Italy. This will be as an official partner at the Alpine Ski World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo in 2021 and is being regarded as another test run before the Olympic games in Beijing. tm
