Statement Interalpin:

We must announce with great regret that INTERALPIN 2021, the world’s Leading Trade Fair for Alpine Technologies, will not take place.

Recently, the COVID 19 crisis has once again changed to a degree and with a dynamic that could not have been foreseen. Within a few weeks, following a positive development in the summer months, the number of infections has risen to record levels both nationally and internationally. The Austrian Government stepped up and extended measures again in mid-November due to the increasing figures and the associated hospitalizations and occupation of intensive care beds with COVID-19 patients. Despite these measures it is not yet possible to foresee how the situation will develop.

From communications and discussions in recent days and weeks we have been aware of great uncertainties as well as the concerns of the groups of people involved concerning security, the legal context, actual possibilities and economic viability. The safeguarding of the health and economic interests of all parties involved now leads to this decision in the light of developments and recent changes as well as the experience of other events.

We very much look forward to seeing you again at Messe Innsbruck. Please note the dates for INTERALPIN 2023: April 19 – 21, 2023.

Congress Messe Innsbruck is currently working on considerations and software solutions to offer you an alternative “virtual” platform in 2021. We will be happy to examine the options and will update you as soon as possible.
