New battery cable hoist with high traction
If you need to move loads with a motorised cable hoist, you need the HIT-TRAC system from Habegger. This is where the tried and tested cable hoist system delivers reliably. In many applications today, there is a growing need for a cable hoist that is as mobile and as emission-free as possible, whilst delivering high traction.
This is why landscapers, event technicians, firefighters and even ropeway fitters choose to use battery-powered electric tools. The advantages in daily use are obvious: electric motors provide constantly high traction low noise. Also, in battery operation, there is no need for users to lay cumbersome power cables or to refuel.
To meet these very needs when it comes to the use of cable hoists in the future, JAKOB has developed the new HIT-TRAC 8A, an expansion of the existing range of motorised cable hoists. With a strong, handy power pack and driven by a battery electric motor from Stihl, the combination of the Habegger cable hoist principle and the powerful Stihl battery electric motor is unique on the market in this form.

Tried and tested Habegger cable hoist principle
The HIT-TRAC 8A is based on the same operating principle as the other original Habegger motorised cable hoists. The traction cable can be any length with 8.2-millimetre thick cable.
Inside the cable hoist, the cable is guided around the drive wheel by the pressure and guide pulleys, before and being ejected again after unloading. On the edges of the drive wheel, the power is transmitted via the three-point rocker to the cable, which is looped around the drive sheave.
The cable can be inserted and removed quickly and effortlessly at any point along its length and there is no longer any need for awkward threading from one side.

Advantages of the battery drive: mobile, fast and high performance
With its light weight of only 28.5 kilograms, easy handling, and avoidance of noise and exhaust emissions, the HIT-TRAC 8A meets the highest demands in respect of performance and working comfort when it comes to moving loads. For easy transport, the HIT-TRAC 8A can be separated quickly into hoist and cable.
After quick reassembly, the cable hoist can lift loads up to 800 kilograms up to as high as 70 metres on one battery charge. The cable speed is up to 8 metres per minute. The Stihl battery drive has an output of 1.8 kilowatts, almost 2.5 horsepower.
Loads are lowered by means of a centrifugal brake, and the basic scope of delivery includes a rechargeable battery with a quick charger. Additional batteries can be purchased to ensure a permanent power supply.
The system is rounded off with an original Habegger cable of the desired length; existing Habegger cables for the HIT-TRAC 8B and 8E can also be used with the new 8A.
