NSAA: Networking of the american ski industry
A positive mood prevailed at the National Ski Area Association convention in Savannah in view of the figures presented for the of the American ski season. With 64.7 million guests (an increase of 6.6 per cent over the previous year) in this year’s winter season, people in the States are confident about the future of skiing.

“I would say that the mood has returned to pre-pandemic levels and attendance is on par, but it is important to ensure that events add value for attendees, especially as e-commerce and virtual learning increase and travel costs continue to rise,” sums up Adrienne Saia Isaac, Marketing Mangager at the National Ski Association.
A total of 110 companies presented their innovative products at the fair.

Awards for special projects
In addition to the opportunity to network and learn about ski industry innovations, NSAA also presented awards to ski resorts that excelled in the areas of marketing, environmental stewardship, employee safety and seasonal sustainability.
For the first time, awards were also given for commitment to local partnerships and collaboration with communities on climate action. Rusty Gregory, General Manager of the Alterra Mountain Company in Colorado, received the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
