Prinoth – For a sustainable future
Always mindful of climate protection and ecological compatibility, in December 2020 PRINOTH introduced two high- end concept models, which highlight the strong potential of efficient alternatives to fossil fuels.
Alongside HUSKY eMOTION, the new flagship in the electromobility sector, the piste vehicle manufacturer also impressed with a world first: the LEITWOLF h2MOTION, the first hydrogen-powered snow groomer.
Only four months later PRINOTH launched new generations of their best-selling vehicles the LEITWOLF and BISON snow groomers. A brand-new control unit, clean Stage V engines with reduced emissions and a fresh look elevate the most powerful snow groomers on the market to a new dimension.

The next generation
„From feedback we’ve already received in the field, customers are delighted with the new models. BISON operators have commented on its massive power and agility. Reactions to the LEITWOLF, confirm the performance of the engine, and it’s excellent efficiency,” says Horst Haller CEO of snow groomers at PRINOTH.
“We are delighted to receive such positive input. It’s great to be at the forefront of helping ski resorts not only prepare perfect slopes and build exciting parks, but stay efficient and green”.
Based on feedback from operators of the machines, the PRINOTH Control Unit maximises the driving experience through increasing comfort and simplifying operation. The joystick has been optimized to make handling straight forward.
Incorporated, is a joystick-in-joystick feature that enables operation of the blade using only the thumb allowing for simultaneous movement of all blade functions.

The 12” touchscreen gives quicker access to the most important features. With a single touch, operators can switch between options—whether it’s adjusting the lights, using the rear camera or checking the setting of the tiller, the new display has it covered.
Accompanied with PRINOTH machine characteristics known in the industry, such as the widest range of tracks, unique tiller designs, and the AUTOMATIC winch, the new snow groomers also bring a brand-new look to the market.
“With the new Nightshade grey color and a redesign of the body the new distinct look reflects on the outside what we’ve done to the insides.” Says Andreas Muigg, Product Manager of snow groomers.
HUSKY eMOTION Goes on Tour
With the HUSKY eMOTION, PRINOTH has designed a snow groomer powered entirely by electricity. It provides an impressive 200 kW/270 hp and allows up to three hours of work with its 190-kWh battery.
So that nothing is left to chance in the development work, the HUSKY eMOTION has undergone intensive testing in recent months and has been on tour across multiple European ski resorts.
The first stop took place in January 2021, as part of the Four Hills Ski Jumping Tournament in Bischofshofen, Austria. It met with great interest there and triggered anticipation of its market launch.
As SKISTAR began the switch to fossil-free operation in their ski resorts back in 2015, testing of the electric snow groomer in the week of Easter 2021 was eagerly anticipated in Sälen, Sweden.
The results were so convincing that they would have preferred to keep the PRINOTH HUSKY eMOTION straight away or at least to purchase a model immediately. However, as this was a test vehicle they must wait until the series production starts in 2022.
At Montana Snowcenter in Holland, the HUSKY eMOTION has proven to be the ideal vehicle for indoor ski centres. At this indoor ski centre, it stood out for its quiet operation and zero emissions.
In mid-July 2021, the HUSKY eMOTION made a guest appearance at a two-day demonstration event in the ski resort of Les Deux Alpes in France. Customers welcomed the development of an e-vehicle that has already proven its capability in testing.
There was great interest both in the power and in the low noise level of the HUSKY eMOTION. The new PRINOTH CONTROL UNIT also made a strong impression.
