The Werribee Zoo (Australia) expansion is expected to create 350 new jobs, including 90 direct jobs for animals and visitors once the exhibits are up and running. These include the construction of an elephant sanctuary and a new Sky Safari cable car.
When complete, the Werribee Zoo renovation is expected to add over $ 17.8 million annually to Victoria’s economy.
As Star Weekly reported in August, the new canopy sky safari will be built as a cabin system that will span the entire zoo and have a capacity of 1,200 people per hour (one way).

The Sky Safari offers a 360-degree view of the zoo savannah, You Yangs, Melbourne’s business district and the bay beyond.
