Review of UITP Summit in Barcelona
The congress programme alone, with 85 sessions and more than 300 speakers, covered the entire spectrum of public mobility. In addition, around 450 exhibitors presented themselves to the international audience.
The current challenges and solutions for public mobility were discussed in various congress formats. In particular, the focus was on the necessary climate change adaptations of cities as well as the efficient use of energy and the role of public transport in this.
Speakers from institutions, public administrations, the private sector and academia gave interesting and sometimes inspiring insights into their work. The UITP was rounded off by two networking events in exclusive locations on Barcelona’s local mountain Montjuïc.
