European transport conference
The European Transport Conference is an established event in the transport industry, attracting practitioners and researchers from all over the world.
The annual European Transport Conference (ETC) offers the opportunity every year for interaction with a range of speakers from across the transport industry. The spectrum of topics, multi-seminar approach and opportunity for international networking make the ETC unique among transport conferences.
Every year, the conference brings together researchers, political decision-makers, practitioners, sources of ideas and transport visionaries at European, national, regional and local level. The 2020 ETC took place from 9th to 11th September 2020 and, for the first time in history, was organised in an online format. Here, the conference maintained its unique identity as a multidisciplinary formal with a number of virtual seminars.
There was a choice of up to 10 simultaneous seminars per day as well as plenary sessions on the first and second day. This year‘s cable car event, which was held on the last day of the conference, also met with great interest. The organizer AET (Association for European Transport) is working to publish all information about the new virtual conferences up-to-date and promptly on the website. tm
This year, the three-day conference covered topics including:
• Climate change
• Autonomous vehicles
• Major infrastructure projects
• The future of transport
• Gender and diversity in transport
• Car-free cities– all over the world
