“The cable car industry is very dynamic, characterized by constant change and a strong focus on the future. More than ever, it is important to explore what responsibility the industry has in times of multidimensional societal and climatic changes, and how it can use these challenges as opportunities,“ explains INTERALPIN project manager Stefan Kleinlercher.

During the INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS, internationally renowned experts, planners, and technology leaders will provide concrete insights into current projects.

The project manager invites industry representatives to view INTERALPIN as a platform for innovations in urban mobility solutions: “Representatives from urban and transportation planning, municipal decision-makers and authorities, transportation companies, as well as investors and project developers, are invited to specifically use INTERALPIN to learn about the latest trends in urban cable car technology.“

Expert knowledge and networking

In addition to the latest technological developments, INTERALPIN offers an exclusive platform for knowledge exchange and networking among professionals. The INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS on May 7 and 8, 2025, are a central highlight: high-profile keynotes, technical presentations, and panel discussions will highlight the top topics in cable car and alpine technology.

Best practice examples from international cities will demonstrate how successfully cable cars have already been integrated into existing transportation systems.

Important industry conferences

As part of INTERALPIN, a series of industry conferences will be held. On the opening day, May 6, the Austrian Cable Car Conference will take place under the theme “Strategy 2040 – The Future of Skiing.“ In high-level presentations, experts will discuss the future of winter sports, potential opportunities and risks, as well as the reinvention of alpine skiing through snowfluencers.

On May 7, the General Assembly of the International Organization for Cable Cars (OITAF) will take place, along with the associated technical seminar. The seminar, titled “Artificial Intelligence: Is the Cable Car Industry Facing a Structural Transformation?“ will focus on providing technical knowledge on the fundamentals, applications, and innovations related to AI.

INTERALPIN 2025 will not only serve as a platform for innovations but also as a significant meeting point for networking and knowledge exchange. Industry visitors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to exchange information on the latest trends and technologies and establish valuable contacts.

“High-level business delegations from around the world use their visit to INTERALPIN for excursions to the surrounding production facilities of key players or nearby ski resorts,“ reports Kleinlercher.

The extension of INTERALPIN by one day offers additional opportunities for exchange and content, according to the project manager: “With the extension of INTERALPIN to four days, we can increase the value of the event for international industry visitors. This creates even more opportunities for in-depth discussions and a more qualitative trade fair experience.“
