Dubai’s newest structure will be 250 metres high and will be completed in time for Expo 2020 Dubai celebrations. In comparison: At 154 metres, the world-famous “London Eye” in England is the highest observation wheel in Europe.

“Ain Dubai” is being constructed on the artificially formed island of Bluewater, which is located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence.

The order from observation wheel producer Hyundai Engineering & Construction to POMA therefore amounts to between 50 and 100 million US dollars. The French cable car manufacturer is responsible for the planning, design and assembly of the capsules and has already made a start on the project management, engineering and procurement work.

The order takes its place in a long list of observation wheels, for which POMA has previously supplied capsules.

Notable examples include the London Eye in London and the High Roller in Las Vegas. The latest award, “Ain Dubai”, demonstrates once again that the company is able to guarantee the right technical solutions for safe, efficient and cost-effective project processing. Pictures: POMA ts
