Cable Car Planning – Baucon ZT

Innovative solutions for towers and stations: The Hòn Thôm holds the record for being the longest cable car of the world. BAUCON INT. ZT GMBH was commissioned with the structual design and scrutineering of the stations and towers.

The route of the 3S cable car runs over the sea, connecting the two holiday islands of Phú Quôc and Hòn Thom in the south of Vietnam. Its reinforced concrete supports are located on the islands in between.

At 164 metres, 151 metres and 140 metres, they are the second, third and fourth highest cable car supports in the world. In both urban and tourist environments, the attractive design and optimum positioning of the towers and stations is a key element in the acceptance of the cable car.

BAUCON INT. ZT GMBH has the necessary expertise and experience in this area, as demonstrated by the supports of the Ha Long aerial tramway as well as the Hòn Tom.
