Cable car to combat traffic chaos in Heidelberg
A cable car across the Neckar could solve a pressing traffic problem in the university city of Heidelberg (GER) and thus better connect the campus and the clinics to the city centre.

In India, urban ropeways are playing an increasingly important role in tackling traffic problems. With the Parvatmala Programme, a national ropeway development programme has existed since 2022. The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, recently announced his intention to develop more than 250 projects with a ropeway length of over 1,200 km within five years.

The excavators are rolling in Paris! Construction of the first urban cable car in Paris has begun. The installation will be built by Doppelmayr and later operated by Transdev. The earthworks are currently underway.

On 31 July, Norbert Karlsböck terminated his mandate as sole board member of Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG at his own request after the expiry of his term of office in order to retire at the end of September. Thomas Maierhofer will take over the position as CEO on 1 August.
